SUPPORT ACTS ANNOUNCED
With the LCD Soundsystem / Hot Chip double header looming just around the corner - Modular Touring is pleased to announce the release of an additional small (and final!) allocation of tickets for both the Sydney and Melbourne shows.
The final release goes on sale Tuesday July 20th at Ticketek for Sydney punters, and Ticketmaster for Melbourne punters.
LCD Soundsystem’s impending tour dates (also rumoured to be their last) see the band returning to Australia on the back of This Is Happening, one of the most eagerly-awaited records of 2010. With Hot Chip in tow for their first tour down under since 2006, its little wonder these shows have been dubbed the “must see” gigs of the year.
Support for both shows have also been announced with Sydney duo Canyons taking the honours out in their home city. The first and only Australian act to release music on the acclaimed DFA label, and striking a balance between psych and acid house, pop and disco, and fiction and fact, Canyons make the perfect addition to an already perfect bill!
And finally, added to the Festival Hall show is Melbourne home-grown act A+O. A+O's “Take Me” was featured on Juan MacLean's DJ Kicks and their record "You Ain't Jack" also came out on stilove4music, one of the worlds best house labels. You can catch A+O opening proceedings at Festival Hall on Thursday July 29th.
