Andy Fletcher

For twenty-five years Andy Fletcher has been married to the music industry. A somewhat unique relationship, staying faithful to a very unique band – Depeche Mode. The band have sold in excess of 70 million records, toured extensively world wide and, most unusually - retained the same draw and popularity they’ve always had.

In May 2001, Depeche Mode released their 11th studio album ‘Exciter’ and embarked on an 84 date tour that would take them not only to the four corners of the globe, but also begin three separate journeys.

When the tour wrapped at the Maimarkthalle in Germany on the 5th November the initial thought was to rest. Despite this, Martin Gore released and toured his second album of covers entitled ‘Counterfeit 2’ and Dave Gahan released and toured the critically acclaimed, ‘Paper Monsters’ his first album of self penned songs.

M.A.N.D.Y.

With an ear for the tunes and an innate understanding of what works on the dancefloor M.A.N.D.Y. are on a seemingly never-ending circuit of the globe with their in-demand DJ sets. From their first meeting as 15-year-olds on a tennis court, the 2 young men who dreamed of making a career of music, parties and having fun have come a long way, and are now well & truly at the top of their game.

2008 has been the penultimate year for M.A.N.D.Y culminating in 2 of their most memorable DJ sessions: one at the helm of UK club Fabric’s esteemed mix CD series, and the other at the rain-drenched Love Parade in Germany, where they played live for 500,000 music lovers who refused to run for cover from the wet and continued dancing in the streets for the awestruck M.A.N.D.Y. boys.

In between these gigs and their residencies with Monza in Ibiza and Berlin’s Watergate club M.A.N.D.Y. also managed to fit in extensive tours of North & South America, and a new track with Booka Shade for Get Physical’s GPM100 release, plus working on a new remix for Felix Da Housecat and long-awaited new M.A.N.D.Y. material with Lopazz in Iceland, and launching Get Physical sister labels Kindisch and Get Digital to accommodate the sheer amount of great records they want to release.

Kid Kenobi

Countless accolades, awards, records, and firsts have been the hallmark of Kid Kenobi’s illustrious 13-year DJing career. Indeed it’s an impossible task trying to resist running them off. From being named Australia’s favourite DJ for a record number 3 years from 2003 – 2005, receiving an award for his first remix ever (of Green Velvet’s “La La Land’ ), to an ARIA nomination for ‘The Bump’ with Hook N Sling, knocking up over 20 remixes for some of the world’s biggest names in dance, pop and rock, being the first DJ ever to have a CD series named after him by Ministry of Sound, to having an itinerary that reads like a Lonely Planet guidebook to the best nightclubs around the world, Kid Kenobi has just about done it all. It’s almost become a cliché to say that there isn’t much left for him to do. And yet perhaps the Kids greatest triumph of all is his ability to keep on evolving and growing as an artist. Music trends come and go, clubbers retire, scenes change, and awards gather dust but Kid Kenobi, it seems, is here to stay.
